Irrashimase! Welcome to Oishii Foods! Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Oishii Foods is a 100% Irish owned company based in Bray. Co. Wicklow. Since 2006, our business has been that of making high quality, authentic Japanese food products, offering our customers a taste of Japan! The word 'oishii' means delicious or tasty in Japanese and we truly believe our products are just that.
Our brand of Oishii Sushi products are currently available in over 90 supermakets, convenience stores & delicatessans in and around Dublin. We have a wide variety of sushi products, ranging from the Sakana Fish Sushi Selection (our best seller!) to a vegetarian, chicken & even a hoi sin duck sushi line! We also have a sushi salad bento box which is a healthy & delicious combination of fresh & smoked salmon sushi with a homemade Japanese noodle salad. We have developed our product lines to cater to many consumer tastes while keeping our processes & ingredients as authentically Asian where possible.
In 2009 we launched our Oishii Teriyaki Sauce which is absolutely delicious and, would you believe it, fat free! On her return from Japan, Ciara Troy - founder of Oishii Foods, brought with her the traditional teriyaki recipe courtesy of Mizumura-san, the mother of the Mizumura family whom she stayed with in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. An excellent cook & a good friend, Mizumura-san was inspiration for many of the Japanese recipes used in our products.
In early 2010, we introduced the Oishii Spring Roll range to the Irish retail market: Duck Hoi Sin, Chicken Satay & Ebi Sweet Chilli - oishii!
When we are not preparing fresh sushi for retail, we are creating beautiful sushi platters for office lunches, parties, openings of galleries etc. We even had the chance to make sushi for U2 on the last day of their Dublin tour!
